I always think this shop is so secret, only open every Friday and Saturday, and sometimes close when theyre too busy for special bookings. I got lucky to booked two cakes for Christmas, white and dark chocolate mousse cakes for gluten free which is good, I thought itll be too sweet but actually not, just right enough sugar and delicious! With a berry tea makes Christmas so perfect.

Located in a little hole in the wall style shop front between Little Ryrie St. and Ryrie St. is the Cakesmith... an absolute jewel of Geelong. Their small but focused selection of cakes are a taste sensation and visually are just mind blowing. You can really see on display their quality choice of ingredients and perfect execution of technique which only comes with years of dedication. I recommend any sweet tooth a visit to this little shop of joy!
These cakes look amazing and taste amazing. It's not surprising that they sell out. But the Cakesmith herself is very accommodating and if I ring and ask her to put aside her recommended cake of the day, I don't miss out! I just have to work harder to stop at one.
