Amazing little industrial space with whitewashed brick walls, offset by light timber, beautiful flora and a humming soundtrack! Sunday brunch was absolutely buzzing in this well thought out environment. Great coffee (Padre), food and atmosphere. Recommend highly as one not to miss if youre in town!
Great place for coffee in Geelong. Been here on numerous occasions for a caffeine fix & have enjoyed the coffee each time.Service is great and friendly. The venue is what lured you in as aesthetically it is very appealing. It resembles an old warehouse with a large entry and outdoor area to sit. Definitely recommend.Great for meetings
Nice food, excellent coffee. Took quite a long time between ordering and getting our food although the coffees came out quick. The waitress took the order without writing it down and predictably things were missed from the order.
Forget smashed avocado, pumpkin smash is my new favourite breakfast. The vibes at King of the Castle cafe were phenomenal, the staff were friendly and the food was splendid. Highly recommend.
Very, very let down with my experience at this cafe and honestly am struggling to find anything to recommend about it. I only tend to write reviews of good places, but this is one of those occasions where the experience was so negative, I feel compelled to warn others to beware.First and foremost, the food was very bland - I ordered the avocado bagel, friend had the 'eggs my way' with avocado and mushroom, and another friend had the Moroccan chicken salad - and all three of us found the food utterly flavourless and unseasoned. To make matters worse, this place is extremely overpriced. Those three simple meals with coffees came to $90. Unbelievable for such standard, bland food and unimpressive, overly bitter coffee.On top of that, the service was inattentive, the music far, far too loud (this is supposed to be a cafe, guys, not a nightclub), which makes having a conversation a struggle, and the waiting times for the food inexplicably long. If this cafe was in Melbourne, it wouldn't last five minutes, but frankly, I'm amazed folks in Geelong find this place to be of an acceptable standard.
