Good place. The gold class chairs need replacing but the staff are awesome.
A little old a little new. The premises has been updated but retains an old school feel in the corridors and facilities. The actual theaters appear to be larger and more comfortable than other modern multi-cinema complexes.
On the Basis of Sex, the story of Ruth Ginsberg, is advertised every time we've been lately but despite being released on Jan 11 it isn't being shown here. Neither was Sicario many years ago, nominated for three academy awards and three BAFTAs. When it was upgraded years ago the cinema was touted as being able to show smaller niche market films but never has, and these two are hardly that, just regular good Hollywood.
Seats are very small, the screen was dirty, the cinema had not been cleaned since there was popcorn all over the floor and seats. And if you weren't in the back row you had to look up for the entire film with is a pretty big strain on the neck.
Recently renovated, so the facilities are okay. Recommend buying snacks and tickets online to avoid the usual wait in line. Some of the cinemas are way too long for the size of the screen.
