I dont usually post bad reviews at all but after dealing with a certain lady in customer service its hard not to. Firstly, Id like to say that Pam was lovely to deal with and was a complete contrast of the other girl. Im not sure on her name because I couldnt be bothered giving her the time of day but I assume, after recent reviews, that is Ashley. She was extremely rude and she treated our guests with so much attitude. I know she wont read this as she doesnt care about how she represents the company. She even spoke to her coworker who, once again, was friendly, rudely as well. Theres no need for the attitude you little brat.
We caught the train from Melbourne was unpleasantly greeted by Ashleigh who rudely informed us that although we had already booked and paid in full through Expedia they had no car available for us and said as we booked through a third party (apparently the was no way to contact us even though my phone number and email are provided in my Expedia account) it wasn't their problem so, thanks to thrifty geelong our weekend trip to visit family was canceled don't worry we only came from Perth. (I understand that problems happen but at least help us our since we booked a car and paid already)
That Ashleys a piece of work huh? Not only condescending but sarcastic and rude too. Not sure why anyone is even allowing her to interact with people. It was like talking to a bratty teenager with an attitude problem. To be a receptionist you kinda need to know how to work in customer service. Or at least be friendly. Yikes 10/10 would avoid
Ive hired a couple of vehicles through the staff at the Geelong office recently and loved it. The car was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The rental was easy and didnt take long at all. I was taken through the whole contract and had everything explained to me including any additional charges that I may incur. The girls are lovely to speak with and are happy to have a conversation with their customers and they are also very knowledgeable, courteous and always willing to help. My family have always been Thrifty customers ever since I can remember, and its never mattered where we have picked up a vehicle, NSW, QLD, VIC, they have always looked after us. But I have to say, the girls at the Geelong office are just awesome. Even if I need a car from somewhere else, Ill go into the Geelong office to book it as I know that Ill be looked after, treated like a friend, not just a number and be made to feel that my business is valued.
